I don't really know where else to talk about it, lol, so just dumping my thoughts here. Basically, the docuseries was necessary and understandably could only do so much, but I don't feel that it brought a ton of new information to light or made the most of the opportunity.

writing an "idol anime; a history" thing will have you being like "does an idol anime have to star idols? and can an anime star idols and not be an 'idol anime'?"

(because, like, you can draw a straight line of descent from idolmaster---->utapri---->utapri descendants---->hypmic, where obviously hypmic does not star idols, but you can obviously see the shared influences and tropes and the "we, king records, are encouraging our audience to relate to these characters as they would IRL idols" thing, whereas something like perfect blue may star idols, but is fully outside that chain of descent and any attempt to analyze it through that lens will result in some truly bonkers conclusions)

40daysofdrabbles is just to write 40 drabbles about whatever you want to focus on, or ask your friends for prompts/ships/fandoms - this is open year-round although it originally started as a personal challenge ages ago for Lent. This still applies if you want to combine the two events.

Thank god I only engage in Deltarune fandom through close friends and a few specific servers, ‘cause dude. The current Deltarune Twitter drama is fucking insane.

Basically, the fandom is having a meltdown because a popular Spamtenna artist admitted she never played the game (not even watched an LP) and half the fandom is either calling for her cancellation or rabidly defending her. On top of that, there’s people bitching about fans being into Spamtenna and the popular characters (ex. Spamton, the Mikes) One guy was even like “Why aren’t you into the MCs instead of the stupid male joke characters!?” then proceeds to demonize Kerdly. Like what do you want, man? People will claim Spamtenna fans are misogynistic fangirls who only care about yaoi slop while completely ignoring that Spamtenna yuri is a subgenre of its own, and it’s basically yaoi vs. yuri wars all over again. Also, Spamton ties deeper into the plot than you realize? Like, are you even paying attention to the game? Now with the revelation that it’s likely they didn’t even play it and are just going off of fanon and tumblr posts, it explains so much where all this wank comes from.

Geez, calm down, man.

Basically, if anyone tries to police you over what characters and ships you like in Deltarune, you have even more incentive to tell them to fuck off. If they don’t even engage with the original canon, why should their word be held to any sort of authority? brb fangirling Spamton and my ships with him even more out of sheer spite

On Wednesday, my father pulled up a flyer on Facebook for a nerd-show next weekend and incredibly nearby. Even though I have a fairly strict no-winter-shows rule because, uh, weather, this is close enough and cheap enough that I figured if I get a table and nothing comes of it, I at least got to hang out with other nerds for a few hours. Anyway, got a table, lol, and will spend some of this weekend/coming week sorting out some stuff to take. This looks like it might become ~monthly and if it takes off and I can maintain a table, it'll really help the clear-out. (The only other table I have booked this year is Semmex and that's not a personal table. I also don't want to spend every weekend this year trying to sell my stuff but I really do need to do the cleanout. Blrgh. Blrrrrgh.)

Finished up the KO GM and it's... okay. Some parts sucked to build but overall it's fine. I was thinking he needed a friend and was looking up other GMs and then suddenly remembered maybe I had one in the back of a cabinet? Sure enough... It is a very old HGUC kit and the nubs have yellowed like I've seen on a lot of old Gundam Wing kits. Since this GM has probably been in the back of the cabinet since being built, I can only assume it's age + plastic quality. Anyway, the GMs can be slightly messy friends, lol.

Going to work on the Destiny Astray today and maybe get the body done this weekend? I'm hopeful. IDK what my next kit will be but it will be Bandai so it at least will go together without extensive modification and/or pain.

I finished gathering all my

threesentenceficathon fills and compiled them here! Despite my burnout, this has been my most productive ficathon yet... 36 total fills! I even maxed out the 75 tag limit, whoops. XD Notable fandoms include LISA and Deltarune, and me crying about Moon: Remix RPG Adventure. Nanquest popped up a fair bit at the final stretch too. It's also my 100th upload to AO3! Figured that'd be worth celebrating. :D

Three chapters into the Wuthering Heights audiobook. Wish me luck!
